3rd Asian Youth Games
India delivered its best-ever performance at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, held recently in Manama, Bahrain. The Indian contingent, comprising 222 young athletes (103 boys and 119 girls) competing across 21 sports disciplines, showcased exceptional talent and determination on the continental stage. The team secured a record-breaking 48 medals, including 13 gold, 18 silver, and 17 bronze, marking a significant improvement over previous editions.
Our overall sixth-place finish underscored the country’s growing prowess in youth sports and the effectiveness of its developmental programs. This strong performance not only reflects the depth of emerging athletic talent in India but also boosts confidence ahead of future global competitions, including the 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
