India’s second appearance at the Summer Olympic Games was after a long gap of almost 20 years when the Games were held in Antwerp in 1920. India sent its Olympic team to Antwerp after a comprehensive training in London. Phadeppa Chaugule and Randhir Shinde put forth fairly good performances in their respective events in the Games.
