An independent contingent of 3 athletes from India participated in the 2014 Olympic Winter Games held in Sochi, Russia. Himanshu Thakur ranked 72nd in Men's Giant Slalom and Nadeem Iqbal secured 85th position in 15km Cross-country skiing. Shiva Keshavan who was also the Flag Bearer of the Olympic Flag at the opening ceremony finished 37th in Luge Men's singles.
