Athlete365 Career+ Workshop held in Mumbai



Established in 2005, Athlete365 Career+ (formerly the IOC Athlete Career Programme) is an IOC Athletes’ Commission initiative run in conjunction with The Adecco Group, one of the world’s leading providers of Human Resource solutions. Career+ is a programme that empowers athletes to maximise their education and employment opportunities and helps them stride confidently into a dual or post-sports career. It provides athletes with the resources and training required to develop their life skills, in maximising education and employment opportunities. The Indian Olympic Association successfully conducted the first edition of the outreach workshop in December 2018 in New Delhi.

For the second edition this year, Chairman of the Athletes Commission, Dr. Malav Shroff took the initiative to conduct the Career+ Outreach Workshop in Mumbai. On 12 October 2019 in collaboration with the Indian Olympic Association, the second edition of the Athlete365 Career+ Outreach Workshop was organised in Mumbai at the Mumbai Cricket Association Recreation Centre with support of IOC Athletes Commission, International Olympic Committee and The Adecco Group. As many as 29 athletes aged between 17 to 24 years from Athletics, Boxing, Fencing, Hockey, Shooting, Sailing, Swimming, Rowing and Rugby attended the day-long workshop led by Educator and Olympian Anjali Bhagwat. Staff of Adecco officials guided the athletes on interview skills, CV, etc.

At the end of the Workshop, IOA Athletes Commission Chairman, Dr. Malav Shroff gave certificates to the young athletes and applauded the efforts of IOA. Indian Olympic Association also expressed its gratitude to Dr. Malav Shroff for leading the coordination of the logistics and event preparations.
